Our Mission

Charitable Dreams for Community Needs

"The mission of the Clinton County Community Foundation is to connect people, resources and causes to produce a positive and sustainable change in the communities we serve."

To express the underlying philosophy of the Foundation, the Board of Directors drafted a series of "core values" statements. These values guide persons who do the work of the foundation, whether as volunteers or paid staff, as they interact with donors, grantees and the community:

Stewardship

The Foundation will prudently manage the resources entrusted to it, maintaining confidentiality and seeking growth of resources.

Open Door

The Foundation will be available to all segments of our defined community.

Service to Donors

The Foundation offers opportunities to donors to improve the quality of life in their community by fulfilling their charitable goals.

Service to Community

The Foundation will improve the quality of life through leadership by building endowments that are directed toward meeting the needs of the community.

About Clinton County Community Foundation

The Clinton County Community Foundation, a division of the Community Foundation of Howard County, Inc., was established in 1996 to perpetuate the rich heritage of philanthropy in the county and to provide new opportunities for donors.

The Foundation is represented by a volunteer County Services Committee, all residents of Clinton County.

Through vision, effective organization and good stewardship, the Foundation is a catalyst for stimulating and funding initiatives that improve the quality of life for citizens of Clinton County.

The community foundation gives donors of varied interests a vehicle for charitable giving to the community and provides responsible stewardship for donated gifts. It encourages philanthropy by attracting and distributing permanent and non-permanent gifts that together can have substantiated and constructive community impact. The foundation is also available as a resource to assess and respond to changing community needs.
